miso soup

i hate miso soup.
let me rephrase that. i hate serving miso soup.
they're hot and they burn my fingures.
they make you feel terrible when you spill it on a customer and her 500 dollar bag.
i hate serving miso soup.

on the other news, my legs are sore and tired from working 10 hours straight. i can't feel it anymore and i have a blister on my right pinky.
i also got a papercut between my middle and my ring finger from the chopstick wrapper. it hurts..

however, i got my pay check today :)

want more? ok.
soy came to see my at work today. it was embarassing.
but she made me dinner and brought it to work for me :)

smiles are contagious

for the first time ever, i gave my sister money today.
i don't know why i did, i didn't owe her money nor did she ask for some, but i just did.
maybe it’s because i received a lot of tip from work today.
whatever the reason, it was a good first step i guess.

on the side note, smile.

when you're having a pretty hard day or feeling discouraged, a simple smile and a little conversation can really change and brighten up your whole day.

as i started working at the sushi restaurant for the past month, i realized how much smiles are worth.
there are customers who come and leave right when they get their food. some just order and sit down and quietly eat. but there are always 2 or 3 who come in everyday with a smile and have a little conversation with the cashier who placed 100 dollars worth of wrong order or the delivery boy who got lost for 25 minutes finding the house that was only 2 streets down.
it makes your day at work a whole lot better and it feels worth it. it's satisfying.

and this is only at a small sushi restaurant.

Imagine what else it’s capable of.
