girls

i'll keep this simple: girls are hard to please.

what's even harder is pleasing two girls at once.

they are impossible.

take for example my sister.
she calls me all happy asking me what i want to dinner. i tell her and she's making it.
on the way i stop by to get some gas. She’s all pissed off, blows up, creates a huge tension in the family. all over a stupid microwave pizza.

now she's crying and apologizing to my mother.

girls.

car ride topic

today's family topic on our way to costco: tootoo

now what is a tootoo.

tootoo is a asian creation of a hands free toilet, created in hopes of a day in age where no men/women will ever have to wipe their butts ever again after going number 2.

if you ask me, in theory, it's a pretty good idea. use water to wipe your butts and dry them through the fan they have. they even warm the seats for you so you won't have to sit in the cold seats in the morning or feel disgusted when it's not. (yeah that's right, ever wondered why some days the seats aren't cold?)

save paper, save tree. eco friendly toilet.
now the toilet "tootoo" seems to have everything figured out, but how does the toilet aim to clean your hole?

...and the exploring begins

in the past 2,3 years, i have been trying to visit as many places as possible and trying different things around s. cali.
whenever i get a chance to visit new places, i find some pretty neat stuff and some interesting restaurants and things to do.

even places i have been to i always find new things.

take the grove in la for an example. i have never knew the farmer's market behind the grove had so much interesting restaurants and things to do. i always thought the street and the food places around the grove was all there was to do.
but when i got a chance to visit and explore farmer's market last friday with soy, i got a chance see and explore new things.
i also got a chance to eat at a french restaurant in middle of simply no where, which the food tasted incredible.
it was a pretty interesting.
i think it was the first time i ever tried anything with the word "Ghock"as part of the name of the food. i don't think it's even french.

there are so many places to visit, so many things to try, so many places to see. and it's only small part of s. cali. i guess there is just too much to do, and not enough time to do them all.

p.s. if you get a chance, visit lacma and its new contemporary art building they just finished building. it's free if you have your student id, and if you park on the street no need to pay for parking fee, just for 30 miles of gas getting there.

Water or Coke

this is an email i received from annette from church. i think it's interesting enough to share it with the world(assuming that the world reads my blog)

Water or Coke?
I could not believe this...... Very interesting

WATER

#1. 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated.
(Likely applies to half the world population.)

#2. In 37% of Americans, the thirst mechanism is so weak
that it is mistaken for hunger.

#3. Even MILD dehydration will slow down one's metabolism as 3%.

#4. One glass of water will shut down midnight hunger pangs
for almost 100% of the dieters studied in a University of
Washington study.

#5. Lack of water, the #1 trigger of daytime fatigue.

#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of
water a day could significantly ease back and joint pain
for up to 80% of sufferers.

#7. A mere 2% drop in body water can trigger fuzzy short-term
memory, trouble with basic math, and difficulty focusing on
the computer screen or on a ! printed page.

#8. Drinking 5 glasses of water daily decreases the risk of
colon cancer by 45%, plus it can slash the risk of breast
cancer by 79%., and one is 50% less likely to develop
bladder cancer. Are you drinking the amount of water
you should drink every day?

COKE

#1. In many states the highway patrol carries
two gallons of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from
the highway after a car accident.

#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke
and it will be gone in two days.

#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the
toilet bowl and let the "real thing" sit for one hour,
then flush clean. The citric acid in Coke removes
stains from vitreous china.

#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:
Rub the bumper with a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds
Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

#5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour
a can of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble
away the corrosion.

#6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola
to the rusted bolt for several minutes.

#7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into
the baking pan, wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix
with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.

#8... To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke
into the load of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run
through a regular cycle. The Coca-Cola will help loosen
grease stains. It will also clean road haze from your
windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

#1. the active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid.
It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric
acid also leaches calcium from bones and is a major
contributor to the rising increase of osteoporosis.

#2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup! (the concentrate) the
commercial trucks must use a hazardous Material place
cards reserved for highly corrosive materials.

#3. The distributors of Coke have been using it to clean
engines of the trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is...

Would you like a glass of water?

or Coke?
